Connect your AI

Add Leaf to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI once. It then works in every conversation, on your computer and on your phone.

Leaf's address, the same for every AI:

https://mcp.getleaf.dev/mcp

You need a Leaf account (app.getleaf.dev) and, with most AIs, one of their paid plans: if you cannot find where to add a connector, that is often why. Do it on a computer, where Claude and ChatGPT add connectors; once done, Leaf works on your phone too.

The dashboard's Your AI page shows these steps with pictures, and the address to copy.

Claude

For claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and the Claude mobile app.

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Leaf, paste the address above in the second field, then click Continue. Keep the choices of the next screen as they are, and click Add.
  4. Click Connect. On the Leaf page that opens, sign in, check it is your account, then click Allow.
  5. Back in Claude, Leaf shows as connected.

Recommended: on Leaf's page in Claude's connectors, set both groups of tools (read-only, and write or delete) to Always allow. Claude stops asking at every step and the work goes much faster.

In a new conversation, check that Leaf is on in the tools menu under the message box. When Claude asks to use Leaf, allow it: refusing stops the work.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors, then Advanced settings.
  2. Turn on Developer mode: it lets you add your own connector.
  3. Back on Apps and Connectors, click Create.
  4. Name it Leaf, paste the address above, choose OAuth under Authentication, tick the box, then click Create.
  5. Sign in to Leaf in the window that opens.

In a new chat, open the + menu, then More, and choose Leaf. When ChatGPT asks to confirm an action of Leaf, accept, and tick Remember when it is offered.

Claude Code

In a terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http leaf https://mcp.getleaf.dev/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

Other AIs

Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI and others: the dashboard's Your AI page shows each one's setup. Any AI that takes MCP servers over streamable HTTP with OAuth connects with the address above: it registers itself, then opens Leaf's sign-in.

What you allow

When you click Allow, your AI can act on Leaf as you: in every organisation you belong to, with your role in each. It can never do more than you can. See What your AI does on Leaf.

Disconnect

In the dashboard, Your AI lists the AIs you connected. Disconnect cuts one off at once, in all your organisations, even in the middle of a task. Changing your password disconnects all of them. Owners and admins can also cut off a member's AIs in their organisation.
