Every site answers for free on name--organisation.leafpages.dev. Search engines never list a site there: to be found on Google, a site needs a domain of its own.
Domains need a Personal or Company licence; each site on its own domain counts toward the sites the licence includes.
Add a domain
- In the site's Settings, Domains, add the address (for example
www.yourbrand.com). - Leaf shows two records to set where your domain is managed (OVH, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Gandi...): a CNAME that points to Leaf, and a TXT that proves the domain is yours.
- Once both answer, Leaf issues the certificate by itself and the site is served there. It usually takes a few minutes, sometimes a few hours.
The page shows each record's state. Leaf picks the steps for the most common providers.
Someone else manages the domain
Send them the link for your webmaster: a page with the exact records to set, without access to your account.
Several domains
The www and the bare domain come together. Each other domain pointing to the same site costs €1.00 a month, on usage.
